AISM is registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act 1860 in the year 1999.
The Executive Committee comprises of a President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer.
Initially there were 22 schools which joined the association as members and gradually the member list has grown to 236 and is still growing.
Platform to empower School Heads to upgrade the teaching faculty and organise activities both in Literary Events and Sports for the students of member schools.

ICSE Schools in Maharashtra believed that they should come together to form an Association to discuss issues pertaining to Council schools and provide a platform to empower School Heads to upgrade the teaching faculty and organise activities both in Literary Events and Sports for the students of member schools. Teachers can upgrade their knowledge through the various Training Programmes with resource persons from the Council’s office in Kolkata.
